Conditions and terms
» You must be 18 years old to volunteer with us unless accompanied by a guardian.
» We have a max stay of 2 months for all volunteers (unless stated otherwise)
» NO – Smoking, Alcohol, Dugs or Abusive Language will be allowed while in the presence of children or staff on or off the premises.
» NO form of abuse will be tolerated.
  Please note management has the right to ask any volunteer to leave if the rules are not abided by

» Volunteer Activities include :
 
Mornings: Which includes, Dressing Kids, Feeding Babies, Help w brekky and Washing Up
Laundry: Which includes exactly that...lots of laundry!
Lunch: Help Prepare Lunch
Evenings: Help with Dinner, kids brushing teeth, reading, singing and bed time!
Volunteering at the local school
Reading and tutoring the children
Working in the garden
Taking the children for walks!

» Fees :
  US$250 per week. This amount includes board, Meals, (only meals eaten at home. All meals outside of home are at own expense), Electricity, Laundry and Water.

» Additional expenses :
 
All traveling expenses to and from Nairobi airport are to be met by the volunteer.
You can arrange this prior to arrival by emailing Sarah. Please see your options here.
We receommend that you do not arrive into Nairobi on a Friday or a Saturday as it is chaos and maybe difficult to arrange a pick up for you.
Taking the children for walks!

Please note that you will be required to submit at least one character reference from someone who has know you for a period of no less than 12 months (eg. Employer, School Principal, minister - excluding any family member)
We require a copy of your passport and a current police check (no more than 6 months old) before we can approve your stay with us (some exceptions may apply if we know the volunteers well). Once you have these items, please post them to email them to us.

» For UK Residents :

» For USA Residents :
 
Go to your local police department where you reside or last resided in the United States, request that the police conduct a criminal records search and provide you with a document reflecting that there is no history of a criminal record. Local police departments may require your personal appearance in order to conduct the search. Your local police department can phrase this in whatever way they deem appropriate. The document should then be authenticated for use abroad following our guidance on authentication or legalization of documents.
